Gordon Walker

Following my love of cars, I started work as an apprentice in the motor vehicle trade on leaving school.

After qualifying I began work at the Land Rover Main Dealer in Huddersfield & was there for 5 years before moving on to West Yorkshire Police’s vehicle maintenance department, where I spent 11 years.

During that time I also worked with ‘Vehicles in Vision’ supplying cars and vans for film and TV all over the country. You may have seen some of my vehicles in Emmerdale, Playing the Field, The Parole Officer and 24 Hour Party People.

An opportunity then arose for me to start my own business in Kirkheaton and Walker’s Garage was opened in January 2007.

We offer the following

Intermediate and full services, as well as long life servicing – to suit your make, model and mileage.

Gearboxes, clutches, brakes & exhausts.

Tyres, steering, suspension and tracking.

We specialise in MOT preparation, and once done have your car tested by our partner and returned.

We aim to be transparent in everything we do. We’ll diagnose your vehicle’s issue and provide a quote for any further works, keeping you updated along the way. If you’d like the old parts that we replace back, just ask.
